It is that time of year again! We are in a crazy and uncertain time, but we are still excited for the 2020 PA Fall Classic! We just got back from the AJSA National Classic and, holy cow, there’s no doubt why Simmental are so popular! It was the second largest Classic ever! Even in the uncertain times, breeders are looking for good genetics to add to their herd and/or show string.  We are looking forward to the sale. Breeders are bringing lots that will turn heads and give their program a good reputation – which is why the sale continues to increase it’s average year after year. It will be Saturday, October 24th at the Greene County Fairgrounds in Waynesburg PA, as of now.   

NEW THIS YEAR – Before entries will be considered, each consignor must be a current paid member of the PSA/PJSA. PSA membership is $40 and the membership year is the 2020 calendar year, starting Jan.1, 2020. Your membership fee must accompany your nomination fee (in a separate check made out to PSA) and mailed to Classic Sales.

Nominations are due Aug 27th. Nomination fee of $100/ nomination is due Aug 27th, as well. Please send your check to Classic Sales. 50 Endeavor Lane. Fairmont WV 26554. All animals must be registered at time of consignment and will need to be listed free of genetic defects in the ASA database. Keep in mind this process can take several weeks to complete and should be started before consigning. Please send your high resolution pictures by Sept 1st. We need pictures for ads as well as the catalog. Please refrain from highly photoshopping your pictures. We want to keep the integrity of the sale and each of our programs. Pictures are not guaranteed to be published.

After some discussion with PSA, we have decided to use DVAuction for the online component of the sale. One reason is the great service they provide. Another reason is that if, beyond our control, we are not able to have a live sale, we will be able to easily adjust to an online sale. We will also be changing the nomination fee to $100 per lot. This fee will be reimbursed after the sale for all lots selling. In the event of a scratched lot in either the live or online sale, the fee will be used to cover the cost of the expenses. Once again, we are fully planning on having a ‘normal’ sale, but we wanted to have all bases covered. Nomination fees must be paid before animals will be cataloged.
